Emergency Planning
Assessing possible emergencies in advance and turning them into a plan of preventive, limiting measures.

Under Articles 11–12 of Law No. 6331 and the regulation on fire protection in buildings, the employer must assess, in advance, the emergencies that could arise from the workplace environment, the materials used, the work equipment, and surrounding conditions — identifying every possible and probable emergency that could affect employees and the working environment, and putting preventive and limiting measures in place.
Taking the working environment, materials used, work equipment, and surrounding conditions into account
- Assessing probable emergencies
- Identifying every possible emergency that could affect employees and the working environment
- Putting preventive and limiting measures in place for the effects of emergencies that could arise
- Carrying out the measurements and assessments needed to protect against the adverse effects of emergencies
- Training employees in protection, rescue, firefighting, and first aid, appropriate to the workplace
- Running drills to prepare for emergencies
The resulting Emergency Plan must be prepared in line with regulation, protecting employee health and safety first, and the surrounding environment second.
